Welcome to our 'Masurenhof'
Our farm,called Masurenhof is an old Masure farm in Szarejki,about 7 kms from the town Elk .We do ecological agriculture on about 40 ha.We do it mainly for our own need,fulfilling the instructions of the polish control on ecological agriculture.
If you want to spend your holidays on our farm,the best time would be in the middle of April until September.The slightly hilly landscape with wildflowers,meadows and forests with deciduous and coniferous trees invites you to long walks.There are as well large lakes where you can swim,not far from our area.
Beside the wonderful flora there are also birds,you thought already forgotten and thousands of frogs in all these tiny ponds around.All of this will make your holiday special.
From our farm you can do cycletours or go on a trip to see the nearby Biebrza-Nationalparc.You can ride a horse or hire a bicycle or a boat.If you are interested,you can also take the historic Lyken narrow-gauged railway.This train goes on a 40kms trip.
Very interesting is as well one of the largest cities in the east of Masuren,the birthtown of Sigfried Lenz.You are invited to stay in a pub or do your shopping at very low prices.
On the 'Masurenfarm'and in our house(about 2kms from the farmhouse)we have got several rooms with shower and WC.On the farm itself there is also the possibility to sleep on the hay,a special event could be the 'hayhotel'for the kids.
